Materials and durability

Concrete
_Process to make Material: Concrete consist of combining water, cement and an aggregates
_How long will it last: 50 - centuries
_What corrodes this material: Industrial waste gases, acid rain
_Pros:  Cheap, creates nice form
_Cons: Weak tension
_Typical Uses: structural mass, structure, nice forms
_Environmental Impacts: The production of concrete contributes to the greenhouse effect, Material is recyclable, Material can pollute soils.
 
 Glass
_Process to make Material: combining sand, silica.
_How long will it last: centuries
_What corrodes this material: No natural effects can corrode glass other than getting hit by sand
_Pros: Easily formed and translucency
_Cons: Fragile
_Typical Uses: Windows and doors
_Environmental Impacts: Not much other than producing it

Timber
_Process to make Material: Grown and cut from trees or glued together from bits
_How long will it last: decade
_What corrodes this material: Being natural, pretty much when being touched by earth decomposes it easily due to it being natural
_Pros: Typically used in all buildings
_Cons: Needs to be treated and doesnt last long
_Typical Uses: Windows and doors, flooring, roof, in walls
_Environmental Impacts: Barely any
